Representative Hawks Basketball

Representative Basketball
The Margaret River Hawks represent our region in Basketball WA competitions, providing talented and committed players with the opportunity to compete at a higher level.
The Hawks program focuses on skill development, teamwork and personal growth in a positive and supportive environment. Players train regularly, learn advanced game concepts and represent Margaret River with pride, respect and sportsmanship.
Being part of the Hawks means committing to training, teamwork and high standards of behaviour — on and off the court — while enjoying the challenge and rewards of representative basketball.
Hawks teams are selected through trials, with pathways available for junior players aspiring to progress through the representative system.
Development Pathways
For highly committed athletes and umpires, there are pathways available to further your basketball journey beyond representing Margaret Rvier Hawks.
These pathways include BWA Performance & Pathways programmes and representing the South-West Slammers in the WABL competition from April to September.
The pathways provide an opportunity for motivated players and umpires to develop their skills, build new friendships, and experience the thrill of higher-level competition. They typically involve local trials and a commitment to travel to Busselton, Bunbury and Perth for training and games.
Members of the committee are experienced in these pathways so please reach out if you have questions.
