Why play with MRBA

Local and Inclusive

We’re part of the Augusta Margaret River community — a club where everyone belongs, regardless of age or experience. Whether you’re picking up a ball for the first time or returning to the game you love, you’ll find a warm and welcoming home with us. Most of our games are played at the Margaret River Recreation Centre.

Something for Everyone

From little ones taking their first steps on the court through Aussie Hoops, to local inclusive junior and senior competitions, and representative basketball — MRBA offers programmes for every age and skill level.

Community and Respect

At the Margaret River Basketball Association, we value participation and believe everyone should have the opportunity to play, learn and grow through basketball. We are committed to creating pathways for development at all levels, from beginners to experienced players. Respect is central to our game — for umpires, coaches, teammates, opponents and volunteers — both on and off the court. We encourage good sportsmanship, teamwork and fairness, and believe basketball should be enjoyable, inclusive and safe. Above all, we strive to foster a community where players are happy, healthy and supported, and where a lifelong love of the game can flourish.
